Michael began serving as our part-time interim director of ministry with youth and their families in January 2022. Previous to this role, he served as the executive director of the Presbyterian Youth Workers Association and as the editor of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s curriculum for youth and young adults as well as in multiple youth ministry roles with Highland Presbyterian Church and other congregations. He has a bachelor of arts degree in music and a master of arts degree in teaching from Austin College in Sherman, TX, and a masters of divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

Michael and his wife, Cheri, are exploring the world of empty nesting as they return to Texas as much as possible to visit their daughter, Clara, who is a student at Austin College. When not serving at the church, he works as an experience design consultant that challenges organizations to think differently about creating human-centric employee and customer experiences.
