Brian grew up in Muncie, Indiana where he began studying piano in first grade. He continued private study through his senior year of high school and also began pipe organ lessons. This continued while he attended Ball State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1992. He met his wife, Christine, at Ball State and they moved to Louisville so he could pursue graduate work in chemistry at the University of Louisville where he earned both the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
Brian has had many enjoyable opportunities playing at several churches in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area, including here at Highland. Brian and Christine currently live in Sellersburg, Indiana. Christine also works in K-12 education as a director of guidance/school counselor. They have two children, Riley and Keegan, both of whom graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington and work in the IT field.
