Adrian (they/them) joined the team at Highland in 2024. Adrian arrived in Louisville from Nashville, TN, where they graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School with a Master of Divinity in 2022 and served for a year as an interim pastor. Adrian’s call to create sacred spaces where all people can thrive led them to Highland, where they are excited to lead a vibrant, inclusive youth program and develop imaginative ministries to serve college students and young adults. In addition to working with young people, Adrian cares deeply about facilitating accessible and Spirit-filled worship and helping the church grow in its commitments to social justice and antiracism.

Adrian grew up in Dallas, TX and completed their undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to attending divinity school, Adrian worked as a journalist and non-profit fundraiser, experiences which taught them much about listening deeply and telling good stories. Now, Adrian spends time outside of the church writing, participating in community organizing, and going on outdoor adventures with spouse Wynn and dog Bex. They’re proud to serve on the national board of directors of More Light Presbyterians, including service as a co-moderator in 2022-23. And — watch out world — they’re learning to roller skate.
